Edge DS has software which may be considered better than many high-priced flash carts and has been written with the inspiration of the CycloDS, which despite it's frustratingly higher-than-average fault rate is quite simply one of the best and intuitive operating systems for flash carts.

It is widely accepted that EDGE DS has one of the lowest fault rates of all cards currently on the market. With a fault rate considerably lower than 1%, the chances of receiving a faulty unit is about as likely as winning the lottery.

The EDGE team have their finger on the pulse when it comes to software updates, which means you can rest assured that 100% ROM compatibility will be maintained for years to come. As with most products Quantronics stocks, we wait to see feedback globally before stocking and recommending a product. Skinning is relatively simple with EDGE which means changing the look and feel of the cart is easily achieved with skin packs and language packs. There are currently 5 languages supported by EDGE DS.

Another great feature of this flash cart is that while is supports standard TF (MicroSD) and SDHC (High Speed, High Capacity MicroSD) that can store massive numbers of ROMs, this does not cause a hit to performance like most other cards. Most cards will have much slower menu response and scrolling speed with larger cards, but the Edge DS handles these perfectly!

The EDGE DS cart does not have a spring loaded memory card slot which removes another point of failure and thus helps keep the fault rate very very low.
